The Gnome Family - Green "Smurfs". These colorful gnomes are fake Smurfs! Shown here are Trumpeter Smurf (resembling Official Smurf 2.0047), Vanity Smurf with yellow flower on his hat, Smurf with beer stein (resembling Official Smurf 2.0078) and Smurfette (resembling Official Smurf 2.0034). They have green skin and wear purple hats and pants. The feet are stamped, "EMPIRE 1978 - Made in Hong Kong".
This Empire series came in five color combinations: 1) Green Skin & Purple Clothes, 2) Yellow Skin & Red Clothes (or Purple Clothes), 3) Orange Skin & Red Hats / Green Clothes, 4) Beige Skin & Green Clothes, and 5) Brown Skin & Yellow Hats / Red Clothes. From 1978. Made by Empire Toys.
Notice that the knock-off Smurfs have white pom-poms on their hats and the tips of their toes while official Smurfs do not have any pom-poms. Also, these fake Smurfs do not have tails while official Smurfs always have their blue tails!
